Anti-SGT2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SGT2 is a known alias name of the protein small glutamine rich tetratricopeptide repeat co-chaperone beta, encoded by the SGTB gene in humans. This 304-amino acid residue protein is a reported co-chaperone that binds directly to HSC70 and HSP70 and regulates their ATPase activity. It is reported to be expressed in the fallopian tube, colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate.
