Anti-ST6N antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ST6N is a known alias name of the protein ST6 beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1, encoded by the ST6GAL1 gene in humans. This 406-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes, among other biological processes. It is localized to the Golgi and is secreted of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and cerebellum. Other synonyms for ST6N include CDw75, SIAT1, and ST6GalI. Western Blot is the most common application for the ST6N antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
