Anti-ALK4 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ALK4 is a known alias name of the protein activin A receptor type 1B, encoded by the ACVR1B gene in humans. This 505-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and hair follicle development, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in many tissues, most strongly in the kidney, pancreas, brain, lung, and liver. Other synonyms for ALK4 include ACTRIB, ACTRIB, and ACVRLK4. Western Blot is the most common application for the ALK4 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
