Anti-PMI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PMI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MPI gene, which encodes mannose phosphate isomerase. This protein is known to function in metabolic processes, among other biological roles. The human version of PMI has a canonical amino acid length of 423 residues and a protein mass of 46.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PMI is a member of the Mannose-6-phosphate isomerase type 1 protein family. Indicated applications for PMI antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
