Anti-NWASP antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NWASP is a known alias name of the protein WASP like actin nucleation promoting factor, encoded by the WASL gene in humans. This 505-amino acid residue protein is reported to regulate actin polymerization by stimulating the actin-nucleating activity of the Arp2/3 complex. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
