Anti-Achaete-scute family bHLH transcription factor 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ASCL1 in humans. The gene may also be known as HASH1, MASH1, bHLHa46, achaete-scute homolog 1, and ASH-1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 25.5 kilodaltons in mass. The ASCL1 marker can be used to identify Epithelium Lobar Bronchus Neuroendocrine Cells and Lung Neuroendocrine Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
