Anti-k-rev antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the k-rev antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the RAP1B gene, which encodes RAP1B, member of RAS oncogene family. This protein is known to function in cell proliferation and cellular localization, among other biological roles. The human version of k-rev has a canonical amino acid length of 184 residues and a protein mass of 20.8 kilodaltons, although 4 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells. k-rev is a member of the Ras protein family.
