Anti-HSPB4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HSPB4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CRYAA gene, which encodes crystallin alpha A. This protein is known to function in eye development and the regulation of apoptosis, among other biological roles. The human version of HSPB4 has a canonical amino acid length of 173 residues and a protein mass of 19.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the eye. Other names for this target antigen include CRYA1 and CTRCT9. Some HSPB4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
