Anti-HYPF antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HYPF antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PSMD8 gene, which encodes proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 8. This protein is a known component of the 26S proteasome, a multiprotein complex involved in the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. The human version of HYPF has a canonical amino acid length of 350 residues and a protein mass of 39.6 kilodaltons. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. HYPF is a member of the Proteasome subunit S14 protein family.
