Anti-HCAI antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HCAI antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CYP24A1 gene, which encodes cytochrome P450 family 24 subfamily A member 1. This protein is known to function in osteoblast differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of HCAI has a canonical amino acid length of 514 residues and a protein mass of 58.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the mitochondria of cells and notably expressed in the urinary bladder. Other names for this target antigen include CP24 and CYP24. Western Blot is the most common application for the HCAI antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
