Anti-Ian2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Ian2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GIMAP6 gene, which encodes GTPase, IMAP family member 6. The human version of Ian2 has a canonical amino acid length of 292 residues and a protein mass of 32.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Ian2 is a member of the AIG1/Toc34/Toc159-like paraseptin GTPase protein family.
