Anti-Maxer antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Maxer antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UFL1 gene, which encodes UFM1 specific ligase 1. This protein is known to function in DNA damage pathways and DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of Maxer has a canonical amino acid length of 794 residues and a protein mass of 89.6 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus, ER, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as KIAA0776. Indicated applications for Maxer antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
