Anti-LC20 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LC20 is a known alias name of the protein myosin light chain 9, encoded by the MYL9 gene in humans. This 172-amino acid residue protein is a reported myosin regulatory subunit that plays an important role in regulation of both smooth muscle and nonmuscle cell contractile activity via its phosphorylation. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the duodenum and skin. The term MLC-2C is another synonym for LC20. Western Blot is the most common application for the LC20 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
