Anti-ERIS antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ERIS is a known alias name of the protein CDGSH iron sulfur domain 2, encoded by the CISD2 gene in humans. This 135-amino acid residue protein is a reported regulator of autophagy that contributes to antagonize BECN1-mediated cellular autophagy at the endoplasmic reticulum. It is localized to the mitochondria and ER of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Indicated applications for ERIS antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
