Anti-EAA3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target EAA3 is a known alias name of the protein glutamate ionotropic receptor kainate type subunit 1, encoded by the GRIK1 gene in humans. This 918-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in nervous system development and chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the cerebellum and the suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus. The term EEA3 is another synonym for EAA3. Some EAA3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
