Anti-CK2A2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CK2A2 is a known alias name of the protein casein kinase 2 alpha 2, encoded by the CSNK2A2 gene in humans. This 350-amino acid residue protein is a known catalytic subunit of a constitutively active serine/threonine-protein kinase complex that phosphorylates a large number of substrates containing acidic residues C-terminal to the phosphorylated serine or threonine. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. The term CK2alpha' is another synonym for CK2A2. Some CK2A2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
