Anti-DA1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DA1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TPM2 gene, which encodes tropomyosin 2. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of DA1 has a canonical amino acid length of 284 residues and a protein mass of 32.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. DA1 is a member of the Tropomyosin protein family.
