Anti-arsC antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the arsC antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the STS gene, which encodes steroid sulfatase. This protein is known to function in epidermis development, among other biological roles. The human version of arsC has a canonical amino acid length of 583 residues and a protein mass of 65.5 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasmic vesicles and ER of cells and notably expressed in the placenta. arsC is a member of the Sulfatase protein family.
