Anti-Agxt1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Agxt1 is a known alias name of the protein alanine--glyoxylate aminotransferase, encoded by the AGXT gene in humans. This 392-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a peroxisomal aminotransferase that catalyzes the transamination of glyoxylate to glycine and contributes to the glyoxylate detoxification. It is localized to the peroxisomes of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the liver. Other synonyms for Agxt1 include AGT and AGT1. ELISA is the most common application for the Agxt1 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
