Anti-NGALR antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NGALR is a known alias name of the protein solute carrier family 22 member 17, encoded by the SLC22A17 gene in humans. This 538-amino acid residue protein is a reported cell surface receptor for LCN2 (24p3) that plays a key role in iron homeostasis and transport. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain. Other synonyms for NGALR include 24p3R, 24p3R, and BOCT. Indicated applications for NGALR antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
