Anti-Scar2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Scar2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the WASF2 gene, which encodes WASP family member 2. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and angiogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of Scar2 has a canonical amino acid length of 498 residues and a protein mass of 54.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Scar2 is a member of the SCAR/WAVE protein family.
