Anti-JAM-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The JAM-1 antigen is another term for the human protein F11 receptor, encoded by the F11R gene. The protein is believed to play a role in epithelial tight junction formation. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 299 residues and a mass of 32.6 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is reported to be expressed in endothelium, epithelium and leukocytes. The JAM-1 protein is a member of the Immunoglobulin protein superfamily.
