Anti-Ago antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Ago antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the FBXW7 gene, which encodes F-box and WD repeat domain containing 7. This protein is known to function in DNA damage pathways and DNA repair, among other biological roles. The human version of Ago has a canonical amino acid length of 707 residues and a protein mass of 79.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as CDC4. Western Blot is the most common application for the Ago antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
