Anti-PLAP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PLAP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PLAA gene, which encodes phospholipase A2 activating protein. This protein is known to function in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and inflammatory response pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of PLAP has a canonical amino acid length of 795 residues and a protein mass of 87.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. PLAP is a member of the WD repeat PLAP protein family. Indicated applications for PLAP antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
