Anti-Beta Thromboglobulin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Beta Thromboglobulin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPBP gene, which encodes pro-platelet basic protein. This protein is known to function in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of Beta Thromboglobulin has a canonical amino acid length of 128 residues and a protein mass of 13.9 kilodaltons. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the bone marrow and placenta. Other names for this target antigen include B-TG1, Beta-TG, and CTAP-III. These Beta Thromboglobulin antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
