Anti-Agmatinase antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the AGMAT gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 352 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is reported to be highly expressed in the liver and kidney. It is a member of the Arginase protein family. Other names for this target antigen include AUH, agmatine ureohydrolase (agmatinase), and agmatinase, mitochondrial. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some Agmatinase antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
