Anti-SEC24D antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SEC24 homolog D, COPII coat complex component. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1032 amino acid residues and a mass of 113 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, ER, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the SEC23/SEC24 protein family, SEC24D is a known component of the coat protein complex II (COPII) which promotes the formation of transport vesicles from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Synonyms for this target antigen include protein transport protein Sec24D, SEC24 related gene family, member D, SEC24-related protein D, and CLCRP2. SEC24D gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SEC24D antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
