Anti-PDIA5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein disulfide isomerase family A member 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 519 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Protein disulfide isomerase protein family, PDIA5 is known to be involved with protein folding. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein disulfide-isomerase A5, protein disulfide isomerase-associated 5, protein disulfide isomerase-related protein, and PDIR. PDIA5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PDIA5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
