Anti-USP24 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitin specific peptidase 24. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2620 amino acid residues and a mass of 294.4 kDa. A member of a the Peptidase C19 protein family, USP24 is reported to be a ubiquitin-specific protease that regulates cell survival in various contexts through modulating the protein stability of some of its substrates including DDB2, MCL1 or TP53. Synonyms for this target antigen include deubiquitinating enzyme 24, ubiquitin specific protease 24, ubiquitin thioesterase 24, ubiquitin thiolesterase 24, ubiquitin-specific processing protease 24, and ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 24.
