Anti-PSS1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PSS1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTDSS1 gene, which encodes phosphatidylserine synthase 1. This protein is known to catalyze a base-exchange reaction in which the polar head group of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) or phosphatidylcholine (PC) is replaced by L-serine. The human version of PSS1 has a canonical amino acid length of 473 residues and a protein mass of 55.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells. PSS1 is a member of the Phosphatidyl serine synthase protein family. Indicated applications for PSS1 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
