Anti-BEAN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein brain expressed associated with NEDD4 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 259 amino acid residues and a mass of 28.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. The BEAN1 gene has been associated with the disease, Spinocerebellar ataxia. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein BEAN1 and brain-expressed protein associating with Nedd4 homolog. BEAN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the BEAN1 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
