Anti-Mudeng antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Mudeng is a known alias name of the protein adaptor related protein complex 5 subunit mu 1, encoded by the AP5M1 gene in humans. This 490-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein transport and vesicle-mediated transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane, lysosomes and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in various tumor cell lines including Jurkat, Hep-G2 and HeLa.
