Anti-PDGFR2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PDGFR2 is a known alias name of the protein platelet derived growth factor receptor alpha, encoded by the PDGFRA gene in humans. This 1089-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for PDGFA, PDGFB and PDGFC and plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, survival and chemotaxis. It is localized to the Golgi and cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in platelets. Other synonyms for PDGFR2 include CD140A, CD140A, and PDGFR-2. Some PDGFR2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
