Anti-CHCHD7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix domain containing 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 85 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus, tonsil, and appendix. It is a member of the CHCHD7 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include COX23 cytochrome c oxidase assembly homolog, and coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix domain-containing protein 7. CHCHD7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Chchd7 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
