Anti-CKMM antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CKMM is a known alias name of the protein creatine kinase, M-type, encoded by the CKM gene in humans. This 381-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in protein phosphorylation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the heart muscle and skeletal muscle. The term CPK-M is another synonym for CKMM. Some CKMM antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
