Anti-TMEM95 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 95. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 176 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the TMEM95 protein family, TMEM95 is known to be a sperm protein required for fusion of sperm with the egg membrane during fertilization. Synonyms for this target antigen include sperm-egg fusion protein TMEM95. TMEM95 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some TMEM95 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in ELISA experiments, among other applications.
