Anti-SPAG11 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SPAG11 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SPAG11B gene, which encodes sperm associated antigen 11B. This protein is known to function in spermatogenesis, among other biological roles. The human version of SPAG11 has a canonical amino acid length of 103 residues and a protein mass of 11.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the epididymis. Other names for this target antigen include EDDM2B, EP2, and EP2C. Indicated applications for SPAG11 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
