Anti-CPEB antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CPEB1, or 'cytoplasmic polyadenylation element binding protein 1' in humans. The 566-amino acid protein is a member of the RRM CPEB family. The cellular localization is predicted to be cytoplasmic, nuclear and membrane-associated.
