Anti-YDJC antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein YdjC chitooligosaccharide deacetylase homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 323 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.5 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the YdjC deacetylase protein family, YDJC is suspected to be catalyzes the deacetylation of acetylated carbohydrates an important step in the degradation of oligosaccharides. Synonyms for this target antigen include UPF0249 protein ydjC homolog, YdjC homolog, and carbohydrate deacetylase. YDJC gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the YDJC antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
