Anti-DP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SRPRA gene, which encodes SRP receptor subunit alpha. This protein is a known component of the signal recognition particle (SRP) complex receptor (SR). The human version of DP has a canonical amino acid length of 638 residues and a protein mass of 69.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells. DP is a member of the GTP-binding SRP protein family.
