Anti-PEX11G antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein peroxisomal biogenesis factor 11 gamma. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 241 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Peroxin-11 protein family, PEX11G is reported to promote membrane protrusion and elongation on the peroxisomal surface. Synonyms for this target antigen include PEX11-gamma, Peroxisomal membrane protein 11G, Pex11pgamma, peroxin Pex11p gamma, peroxin-11C, and peroxisomal membrane protein 11C. PEX11G gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PEX11G antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
