Anti-MRP8 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The MRP8 antigen is another term for the human protein ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 8, encoded by the ABCC8 gene. The protein is a known subunit of the beta-cell ATP-sensitive potassium channel (KATP). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1581 residues and a mass of 177 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in the colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, caudate, and adrenal gland. The MRP8 protein is a member of the ABCC protein family.
