Anti-PTP-PEST antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PTP-PEST antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PTPN12 gene, which encodes protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 12. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of PTP-PEST has a canonical amino acid length of 780 residues and a protein mass of 88.1 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as PTPG1. Indicated applications for PTP-PEST antibodies listed below include Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
