Anti-CDK18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cyclin dependent kinase 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 474 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.4 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, CDK18 is believed to play a role in signal transduction cascades in terminally differentiated cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCTAIRE3, PCTK3, PCTAIRE protein kinase 3, PCTAIRE-motif protein kinase 3, cell division protein kinase 18, and PCTAIRE. CDK18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the CDK18 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
