Anti-PLC antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The PLC antigen is another term for the human protein heparan sulfate proteoglycan 2, encoded by the HSPG2 gene. The protein is reported to be an integral component of basement membranes. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 4391 residues and a mass of 468.8 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. It is notably expressed in cerebrospinal fluid, fibroblasts and urine. Other alias names for PLC include HSPG. ELISA is the most common application for the PLC antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
