Anti-SLC25A31 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 31. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 315 amino acid residues and a mass of 35 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, liver, sperm and testis. A member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family, SLC25A31 is reported to be an ADP:ATP antiporter that mediates import of ADP into the mitochondrial matrix for ATP synthesis, and export of ATP out to fuel the cell. Synonyms for this target antigen include ADP,ATP carrier protein 4, adenine nucleotide translocase 4, adenine nucleotide translocator 4, and ADP/ATP translocase 4. SLC25A31 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some SLC25A31 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
