Anti-Somatostatin Receptor 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SSTR2 in humans. The Somatostatin Receptor 2 protein has an expected mass of 41.3 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as somatostatin receptor type 2, and SRIF-1. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
