Anti-Spastin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SPAST in humans. The spastin protein has an expected mass of 67.2 kDa, but there are 4 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as FSP2, ADPSP, SPG4, spastic paraplegia 4 (autosomal dominant; spastin), and spastic paraplegia 4 protein. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
