Anti-ND1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ND1 is a known alias name of the protein influenza virus NS1A binding protein, encoded by the IVNS1ABP gene in humans. This 642-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in many cell functions, including pre-mRNA splicing, the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) pathway, F-actin organization and protein ubiquitination. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for ND1 include ARA3, FLARA3, and HSPC068. Over 80 citations in the literature describe the use of ND1 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
