Anti-myosin ID antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MYO1D gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1006 amino acid residues and a mass of 116.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues. A member of the Myosin protein family, it is reported to be a unconventional myosin that functions as actin-based motor protein with ATPase activity (By similarity). Other names for this target antigen include myr4, unconventional myosin-Id, myosin-I gamma, protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 108, and PPP1R108.
